Hello! I’m Mallory, the founder of Dough Know, Dough Care. My sourdough journey began in January 2025 when I took a class with my Aunt, Mom, and Grandma – a memorable experience that not only introduced me to the art of sourdough baking, but also gifted me my starter, Doughly Parton. Before that, I had little interest in baking sourdough, but thought it would be fun to try something new with family. Little did I know, this simple decision would spark a passion for creating artisanal bread that I’m excited to share with you today.

After baking my first loaf, I quickly realized not only how much enjoyment I found in the process, but also that I had a natural knack for it. Encouraged by this newfound passion, I decided to bring a loaf into work to share with my coworkers. After tasting it, my manager repeatedly expressed her interest in purchasing more if I ever decided to sell. This encouragement sparked the idea to turn my hobby into something more, ultimately leading to the creation of Dough Know, Dough Care.

Over the next few months I kept bringing more bread for people to try and at the end on March of 2025 I decided to start taking orders and make an Instagram. After consistently filling up almost all of my weekly order slots for two months straight while only having two real items on my menu I decided to go for it and expand and well... Here we are! I hope you love my sourdough as much as I do! ~Mallory
